Virginal bleeding?

my girlfriend and i, arent having sex all the same but we still do alittle groping. she doesnt know if she is a virgin.
i get home sometimes and she call me to say she is bleeding this happen twice after fingering.
can anyone tell me whats taking place? Clip your fingernails maybe. Also, when someone loses their virginity this point called a hymen is broken. This is why girls bleed on their first time. If you broke it that might be the purpose.
